Green Means Business
For your business, green can mean:
Improved efficiency, profits and working processes - ie tighten up flabby habits and stop wasting money and time
Reduced running costs - don’t let wasteful practices drain your resources
Remaining viable and sustainable - as resources become scarcer and more expensive, ensure the future of your business by finding reliable long-term supplies and suppliers
Innovating - find a new way of doing something
What’s GreenLight?
GreenLight is a free talking shop and advice point that operates through regular meetings with a speaker. So far, meetings have been in Hereford in the evenings, but we’re open to suggestion.
Meet up, listen to someone whose business has benefitted from using green/sustainable methods, and while you’re there feel free to network, hand out your own promotional stuff and use the opportunity to meet and learn from other local businesses.
But I’m not exactly Kermit
That’s kind of the point. No-one benefits from talking to a room full of people who already know how to benefit from green means, rather we want a mix. We need experienced people sharing their knowledge with other businesses who would like to cut costs, streamline their working practices, stabilise their supply chain and overall benefit from what sustainable business methods can offer them.
It’s free!
As well as being free to join and benefit from, it’s also free from preaching, free from pledges and free from politics. That means free from lobbying and extremism too - please leave the soap box at home; instead come armed with curiosity and a willingness to share your experiences.
Speakers
We’re looking for people who’ve walked the talk. Whether you’re a local farmer who’s benefitted from a bio-mass boiler, a chain of leisure centres that has installed a PV array or someone who’s gone the whole hog and started a business built wholly on environmentally-friendly and sustainable methods, we’re interested. Speakers can be polished pros, or ‘just’ a local business that would like to share what they’ve done.
